The United States Secretary of State has declared that the Trump administration will suspend all future allocation of federal funds to programs financing abortion abroad, especially in the context of the UN.

“The American taxpayer’s money will not be used to finance abortions,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo explained on March 26, 2019, reminding listeners that the administration has to conform to a federal law known as the Slijander amendment, which Donald Trump’s predecessors have never applied. This 1981 law forbids the allocation of public funds to foreign aid if they will be used to support abortion.

“Institutions linked with the UN should focus on resolving the crises in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, not promoting the cause of abortion,” Mike Pompeo said. “We will continue to protect the weakest among us,” the Evangelical Christian Secretary of State added. His words have not failed to earn the ire of the supporters of the culture of death.
