At Flavigny, the formation of the brothers takes place over three years. The first year is that of postulate, which ends with recieving the habit. The second is the novitiate at the end of which the novice made his first vows. Finally, a third year allows the brother to grow in virtue and develop practical knowledge for his future ministry.
